Maintenance

The maintenance of the calipers is actually more on the regular checkup of the state of the pads. When these are worn, they should be replaced to facilitate better stopping. They need to be clean and properly lubricated in order not to get stuck in a clamping position on the rotor. Brake repair may be minimal with regular checkups and maintenance of the braking system.
