The GT comes available only in a 5 speed Sportstronic while the GS Sport comes with the automatic as the standard. The GS sports has heated power mirrors, steering wheel controls, heated front seats, rear wiper, satellite radio and more. The Convertible GS Sport has a powered convertible roof.

The latest generation Eclipse originally only had four trim levels, which were the GT, SE-V6, SE, and GS. However, the SE trims were dropped in 2009, the GT added on stability control, and vehicle received a minimal face-lift. Individuals wanting to purchase a used version will find that the third generation model has a front wheel drive, hatch back body style, V6 or 4-cylinder power.
