I have always chosen small manoeuvrable vans for my business.  I don't like the thought of driving around with a massive panel van - especially delivering to houses in West London,My Citroen Berlingo Beats the Bouquet Articles which is the bulk of my business.  I run a Florists and make a lot of deliveries.  Usually there are no more than a handful of bouquets in the back of the van, so there is no problem with space. But for special occasions, such as weddings and, of course, Mother's Day, I could do with some more room.

I asked around in the trade and also a friend of mine from the pub who knows about vans what I should replace my ageing Vauxhall Astravan with, given the problems I have.  The general consensus was that I needed a van about the size of a Citroen Berlingo.

So I popped down my local Citroen van dealer, (there's a huge on in Brentford, West London) to have a look around.  I was amazed at the amount of room in the back of the Citroen Berlingo.  The sales guy there, (not too pushy) told me that if I racked out the back of the van properly then I could stack my florists buckets and have room to lay the pre-tied bouquets on a shelf flat above them.  He gave me a couple of numbers of companies that provide these kinds of racking systems.

I made a couple of calls and, although these things aren't cheap, I don't intend replacing my next van for some while.

I looked on the internet at some vans sales websitesto see if there were any good, late Citroen Berlingo vans for sale, but he prices were not much cheaper than the deal on the new Citroen Berlingo from the deal at Citroen London West.

I am now the proud owner of a brand new silver Citroen Berlingo - I got a deal on the graphics through Tom at the dealership so it looks fantastic!  I went for the Enterprise version with all the bits on it.  So I've got aircon, (at last) and a CD Player plus central locking and power steering.  It’s economical – I’ve hardly had to fill it up and it’s comfy too.  I prefer driving it to my car!  Anyone want to buy a Ford Focus?

It’s really helped my business, as I don’t have to pay for extra help for the big jobs and paying extra petrol money for other vehicles all going to the same place.  The Berlingo looks professional and I’m convinced I’ll get extra business from the graphics down the side of it – even when I’m out and about in the evenings in it.

Just thought I’d share this with you in case you were thinking of replacing your van, as the London LEZ won’t allow older vans inside the M25.
