Needing an auto repair in an unexpected location can be the most trying and frustrating situation for everyone involved. Calling a tow truck and getting your car to a trusted repair shop is the way to go.

Have you ever had the unfortunate experience of needing an auto repair when you are at least 200 miles away from your hometown? After gathering the most readily available supplies, like some baling wire, vegetable oil and thoughts of good luck, you rig a few things up and try the key in the ignition again. But, much to everyone’s disappointment your vehicle is still dead. You are going nowhere fast, and everyone is on the brink of a meltdown.

So, you call your mechanic on the phone and ask him to diagnose the problem over the phone. Being the kind and skillful person that he, is he advises you to check a few major areas under the hood and call him back with an update. About an hour later, you are covered in grease, have half of the timing taken apart and about three random diagnoses of what the problem is. But, you do not want to give up. However, your family feels quite the opposite. But finally, after four hours of working on your vehicle, asking for opinions from family and well meaning passer-bys you admit to yourself that it may be time to call a tow truck and get a real auto repair started.
