If there is one thing that can throw a monkey wrench into the gears of progress,Communication Is The Key To A Successful Business And Family Life Articles lack of communication can do it quicker than Roger Clemons in game seven of the World Series.  When there is no communication, whether it is at work or at home, individuals can get the wrong information if they get any information at all.
When things aren't clearly communicated and explained and discussed, the probability of a misunderstanding is magnified.  In every facet of the day, clear and concise communication is the difference between getting a job executed and creating a problem which will take longer to get done.  The communication between every member of the team, whether it is a work group or the family is necessary to get things done and accomplished, and without this communication jobs can’t get done and progress cannot be made.
So it is essential to keep the lines of communication open between all parties involved.  And this communication shouldn’t only go in one direction, especially if you're working as part of a team because you need the ideas and thoughts flowing up and downstream.  When you are looking for new ideas, should you only look in the familiar places that you have already mined for information and ideas or should you branch out, looking for new avenues of information?
Of course you should always be willing to look in new places, talk to new men and women and you should never shut off the lines of communication to stifle these new ideas from new sources.  Eventually, if you shut out these ideas, they will become discouraged and stop presenting these ideas.  Maybe they will leave and surface somewhere else, perhaps a competitor, with their new ideas that help give an edge to their new organization.
You never know.  That's why it's always a wise idea to let the employees and members of the team express their ideas and to feel as though their idea is at least getting a fair listening to.  Shutting out these ideas and these different points of view gains the business and management nothing, while a game changing idea could gain them everything.  You just can’t be afraid to look in new places and talk to new individuals about these things.  You never know what you’ll end up finding.  It could be a gold mine that you have been overlooking.
