Cross-dressing is nothing but an activity through which a person wear
clothes associated with the opposite sex within a society. There can be
various types of cross-dressing behaviors observed both in the modern
era and throughout the history as well.
Normally when it comes to living in a society or being in a group, there are a set of norms that decide what type of clothes are appropriate for a particular gender. There can be many different reasons as for why people engage themselves in this act. A few section of society cross-dress for the matter of style. They may have a liking for a particular brand or so that is marketed only for the opposite sex. This type of cross-dressing may not be visible to other people. While some on the other hand do it just to challenge the social norms.
People Crossdressed for summers is very common sight these days. Often we see women wearing short pants. Even if we look into the past, there nothing bad in men cross-dressed in female’s attire. About three to four centuries ago, it was a common sight to have men wearing skirts. Pants were designed only because it was easier to ride a horse with them than without them. However since more men started wearing pants, it was presumed to be a garment for men. In fact, winters seem to be the best time for cross-dressing as it has got some advantages attached to it. Since the weather is so cool and the sun also sets early, so it becomes easy to move out without being noticed.
Earlier there used to be several religious dogmas and certain conservative thoughts that dint allow the society to adopt this culture. But now the society and so the world has developed in the psychological sphere as well. The mass has become aware about the differences between the one who behave like a women and the one who wears attires associated to them. Some men are not happy with their looks and give it as a reason for being cross-dressed. Although it seems that the behavior of cross-dressing has been originated itself from the world of fashion, but such things are so not true. Lastly when it comes to convenience or natural instincts, cross-dressing is nothing but a matter of individual choices and the society therefore must show some mature behavior towards cross-dressing.
