I am reminded of a story that I once heard from a preacher, I think his name was John Maxwell. Rev. Maxwell told the story of a man who entered his Donkey in the Kentucky Derby.  This is a very timely story,From the minds of millionaires – How to succeed in your home business Articles since the Kentucky Derby is only days away. I can’t remember the whole story, but the bottom line is that people thought the man had lost his mind for entering a donkey in the Kentucky Derby.

The derby is one of the most prestigious races in the world and only the finest of horses have the honor and privilege of running in it.  How could this man even let the thought cross his mind that his donkey actually had a chance to win?  Well it turned out that the man was not crazy after all.  You see, he knew that the donkey could not win, he just wanted him to be able to associate with the finest of horses, hoping that maybe something would rub off on him.

The moral here may have been a little stretched for a donkey, but it holds true in all walks of life for people.  As a parent or a grandparent, you watch closely who your offspring associate with.  You want them to associate with children of good stature and reputation.  As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together and you are hoping that the children of influence will rub off on your children.

Now think about your friends and family.  Who do you hang out with the most and enjoy being around the most?  Chances are that they are very similar in a lot of ways to you. If you have friends who are striving to achieve and/or have achieved, they are probably pushing you either directly or indirectly to do the same.

Now, there is nothing wrong with a good old fashion friend.  My BFF and I have known each other for over 40 years now, but it is always good to have those that will push and inspire you.  My advice to anyone would be to add these kinds of friends with you want to accomplish anything in life.  In my business endeavors, especially a home business and network marketing I am able to learn on a daily basis from millionaires who have paved the way.  If this appeals to you, I urge you to act now.  You can contact me or you can start out without me, but just get started.
