High End Wedding Photographers should Preview the Wedding LocationHigh-end wedding photographers should preview the wedding location. A great way for this to be done is to attend the wedding rehearsal. The wedding rehearsal will give the photographer an opportunity to see where the different actors in the wedding will be and to plan their shots accordingly. Once a photographer has determined where he wants to take his shots from, he should explain his plan to both the bride and the management of the wedding venue. Both of these parties may have some legitimate objections or suggestions to the plan. In addition, when doing a preview, a photographer can take stock of the colors scheme of the venue. Armed with this information, he can advise the bride in colors, lighting, and other artistic photographic considerations. Often venues have locations that have been created just for pictures. Obviously you'll want to find out where these are and any adjustments that may need to be made. In addition, the photographer should check the weather report. Obviously a rainy day will change everyone's plans, but a photographer will also want to know the likelihood of cloud cover and how windy the day will be. If a photographer does not have an opportunity to preview the venue prior to the day of the event, he should plan on arriving a few hours early to scout out the area. Planning on being there early will not only give assurance that a minor hiccup - such as an accident en route, will not cause you to miss the event, it will give you the credibility of being a professional who is on top of his game.
