you have the right machine. Fellowes makes a number of user-friendly
laminators including the Jupiter JL-125. This versatile device can do
both hot and cold lamination, and it even opens up so you can clean the
rollers when necessary. Plus, the device has a 12.5-inch feed opening so

you can laminate letter- and legal-sized documents with ease. You can
also laminate smaller items like business cards and snapshots. Overall,
this machine is easy to use. Just follow these directions:
Make
sure the Jupiter JL-125 is on a flat surface and turn it on. If you're
going to be using one of the machine's hot settings, it will take about 4
minutes to warm up.
Select the
appropriate temperature setting. This machine has a cold setting for
pressure-sensitive pouches and there are four heat settings. The heat
settings correspond with pouch thickness. This laminator will work with
pouches that are up to 7 mil thick. Use the navigation buttons to select
your setting.
Once you've selected
your temperature setting, you can place your document in a laminating
pouch. If you're using a thermal pouch, you should place it in a carrier
to prevent adhesive from leaking out. This cuts down on pouch jams and
reduces wear and tear on the machine.
After
your document has been laminated, set it aside. Let it cool off if you
used a thermal pouch. If you have any other documents, you can continue
laminating.
If you ever need to
remove or re-center a pouch, you can use this machine's reverse mode.
The reverse button is on the machine's control panel. Just press it and
gently pull your document out of the laminator.
The
Jupiter JL-125 has HeatGuard technology. That means the machine has
double insulation to keep the exterior cool to the touch. However, kids
need to have adequate supervision when using this device. And be sure to
keep pets away from the machine during operation.
This
laminator stands out because it can be opened up for maintenance. To
perform maintenance, press the "Open" button on the control panel and
wait for the machine to cool off. (A light will go on when it's cool.)
Press the buttons on the right and left sides of the machine to open it
up. Use laminator roller wipes to clean the rollers and then close the
device when you're done.
When
you're done using the laminator, run a cleaning sheet through it and
then turn it off. If you ever forget to turn the device off, don't
worry. It has the ability to shut off on its own.
As
you can see, it's pretty easy to use the Fellowes Jupiter JL-125. This
pouch laminator can do both cold and thermal processing, and switching
between modes is a snap. Give the Jupiter JL-125 a try so you can easily
laminate your documents.
