How to Use the Fellowes Mars ML-95 Pouch Laminator

• Make sure the Mars ML-95 is plugged into the wall and turned on. Check to see that there is enough room about the back of the machine for your documents to go once they've been processed. The machine needs 7 to 8 minutes to warm up, so you'll want to make sure the machine is ready to go before you start laminating. The laminator has a light that will go on when it's ready to be used.

• You need to select a laminating pouch that will fully encapsulate your document. Choose a large enough pouch so that there's about a 1/4" border around the item. Place the pouch (with the document inside it) into the laminator with the folded edge going it first. You should definitely consider laminating with a carrier so you can prevent the machine from becoming gummed up with adhesive. There's probably a carrier in your box of laminating pouches so take advantage of it. (The carrier looks like a file folder so it's easy to spot.)

• Once your document has emerged from the Mars ML-95, take it and set it aside so it will cool off. Try not to touch the item too much - if you do, you could mar the finish.

• Repeat the above steps if you have more items to laminate. When you're done, you can run a cleaning sheet through the laminator to help keep the machine in good condition. You then need to turn off and unplug the laminator to prevent unauthorized use.

As you can see, the Mars ML-95 is easy to use, so you should be able to produce great-looking laminated documents without any trouble. The key things to remember are:

• Give the device a chance to warm up before you try laminating anything.

• Use only 3 mil pouches with this device. And use a carrier to protect the inside of the machine.

• Turn the laminator off after use.
