Also, using a pouch laminator can be pretty easy. The Fellowes Titan
TL-125 is a fairly new pouch laminator and if you have this device, you
are probably wondering how to use it. You're in luck because this
article will walk you through the entire process. Let's get started:
It
almost goes without saying, but you need to plug in the laminator and
turn it on before using it. Also, make sure the machine is on a flat
surface and that there is adequate room behind it so your documents will
have somewhere to go when they emerge.
Take
a moment to choose a laminating pouch for your document. The Titan will
work with pouches that are 3 to 10 mil thick. Select a thicker pouch if
you want to make your document more rigid.
Select
the appropriate setting for your pouch. There are buttons on the front
of the machine that correspond with pouch thickness (i.e. 3 mil, 5
mil.). The machine will automatically select the 3 mil setting if you
don't choose a setting. The laminator will then begin to warm up. A red
light will flash when the machine is warming up. You'll hear two beeps
when you can start laminating.
Place
your document in the pouch and then put the pouch in laminating carrier
so you can keep the interior of the machine clean. Insert the carrier
into the laminator with the folded side going in first. Make sure that
the pouch is centered and flat. The machine will begin laminating right
away.
After your item has been
laminated, set it to the side and let it cool off. You can then continue
laminating, if necessary. You can switch between different pouch
thicknesses by pressing the appropriate button. You'll have to wait for
the machine to cool off or warm up. Again, you'll hear a couple of beeps
when you can start laminating.
At
some point, you're probably going to have to deal with a pouch jam. In
order to do so successfully, just press the reverse mode button and grab
the pouch. Continue laminating with a new pouch, if desired.
The
Titan can open up so you can clean the rollers. Make sure the machine
has cooled off before you open it. When it's ready, press the "open"
button that's located on the control panel and then disengage the
latches on both sides of the device. You can then clean the rollers or
do whatever else you need to do.
Finally, turn the machine off when you're done so the motor doesn't burn out.
Using
a pouch laminator is pretty easy and the Fellowes Titan TL-125 is
really user-friendly. As long as you follow the steps listed in this
article, you shouldn't have any problem operating this laminator. Good
luck!
