Orange County California Photographers: Consider Engagement Shots at Crystal Cove State Park

Orange County, California contains a number of beautiful locations to take engagement shots. One of the best locations is Crystal Cove State park.

Crystal Cove State park is an Orange County excellent location for engagement Shots. Crystal Cove is located South of Newport Beach and just North of Laguna Beach. In addition, if the photo shoot is taken in the evening the group does not need to pay for parking (if you enter at 6:00 PM and don't leave until after the gateman has left - around 8:00 PM). This article looks at ways to get a terrific set of engagement pictures at this beautiful public location.

The path from the parking structure into the park is a beautiful curvy, tree lined path - perfect for photographing couples as they walk up or down the path holding hands, kissing, etc.

Towards the end of the path is a long tunnel (tunnel of love?). Framing the couple with the mouth of the tunnel is often a favorite shot for many. The photographer can get a variety of shots at different distances from the couple.

Before reaching the beach

, the couple can stop and have their pictures taken in two retro looking locations. The first is a pastel blue and red shed and barn. The other is a fiftyish styled cafe. Both locations provides a quaint looks which is beautiful when a sepia or vintage actions is applied to the image.

Crystal Cove is encompasses miles of beach front. The beach offers opportunity for a variety of different shots. There are rustic beach houses in which one can comfortably pose. The beach has both long stretches of sand as well as rocks and cliffs. There are numerous locations for a couple to sit on a large rock overlooking the ocean at sunset. A couple running together a long stretch of sand with the waves lapping at their legs is another winning image. Of course if the couple so chooses they can get in the water and get a few shoots of them fighting the waves (of course this should be the last shot of the night).

Crystal Cove is one of the best locations for photographing an Engagement Session in Orange County. The settings and backdrops are beautiful and varied. All of this beauty and convenience can be found at a puplic location between Newport and Laguna Beach.
