Renz ECO S 360 Wire Binding Machine (RECOS360) Review

There are a lot of wire binding machines available so it can be tricky to determine which one will meet your needs, especially if you're seeking a heavy duty device. However, there is one you should definitely check out: the Renz ECO S 360. Here are its strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:

• The ECO S 360 is an excellent machine to get if you need a device with a high punching capacity. This device can punch as many as 5,000 sheet per hour which means you'll be able to assemble 250 books in the same amount of time. (The machine punches up to 30 sheets per lift.)
• This machine has disengageable punching dies so you'll be able to punch and bind documents of varying sizes. You can use paper that's up to 14" long. The machine can bind work that's up to 1.5" thick which is about 300 pages.
• The ECO S 360 is compatible with 2:1 pitch wire spines. Wire spines can make any document look sophisticated and professional, and they come in variety of colors including blue, silver, and black.
• One of the best things about the ECO S 360 is that it can be upgraded to an electric machine if your binding needs change. There's a modular drive motor that can be purchased separately and then attached to the device which turns it into a binding powerhouse.
• This machine has a number of features that make it easy to use so you can produce professional-looking work. These include a wire holder, wire size gauge, and a book thickness gauge that can help you determine which spine you should use.
• The ECO S 360 is one of the most durable wire binding machines on the market. It's made out of metal so you'll be able to get a lot of use out of it and produce a lot of documents. The machine comes with a limited 1-year warranty.

Weaknesses:

• This machine's handles are located on the right side. While this is convenient for right-handed uses, it will probably be problematic for those who are left-handed. It would be nice if Renz offered a left-handed version of the machine or had designed it in such a way to accommodate a D-shaped handle or two.
• The ECO S 360 is a rather industrial-looking machine so it probably won't be the best choice if you're seeking something sleek and eye-catching. However, the device's appearance shouldn't really matter if you're looking for a heavy-duty machine.

Despite the ECO S 360's couple of weaknesses, this is really one of Renz's best machines and it's an excellent choice if you want to bind with 2:1 pitch wire spines. This device will help you punch and bind your documents so you can produce hundreds per hour. (Just imagine how productive you'll be.) Also, it's great that this device can be turned into an electric machine with the simple addition of a modular drive motor. And don't forget that the ECO S 360 has a number of features that make it user-friendly such as the wire holder.
