State Run Tewinkle Park in Costa Mesa is an Attractive Free Photography Location

Orange County photographers need to offer their clients value. By suggesting that these clients shoot at a free location such as Tewinkle Park in Costa Mesa and near Newport Beach, a photographer can help his clients spend more on what really matters - the pictures.

Orange County has a number of great locations for photographing families, engagements, and personal portraits. Most of them charge a fee to enter for photography purposes and many times the charge is high. For example, most beaches in Newport Beach require a $500 fee to be paid to shoot at the beach. Even Crystal Cove – another state park charges $50 dollars per session and is not available on weekends during the busy summer months.

Located in Costa Mesa on the border of Newport Beach and less than a mile from Irvine, the park is conveniently located to a large number of residents. In addition, it is less than 2 miles away from John Wayne Airport. Many people fly into John Wayne for family beach vacations. It requires little effort to take a cab to the park for a quick family.

Tewinkle has a diversity of backgrounds. There is a pond, grassy hills, large rock structures, long windy paths and wooded areas. In addition, the park has several great locations for shooting large groups – as is evidenced by the number of prom and post wedding pictures that are shot at the park.

During difficult economic times, photographers must find ways to increase the value of their offering. Non-value-added costs must be removed. There are a number of photographers in Orange County, making the industry ultra competitive. Shooting at the free centrally located and diverse Tewinkle Park is one way a professional photographer can increase the value of his offering and stay competitive.
