• The EX10-06 is a cross-cut shredder that has a Level 3 security rating. This makes it perfect for shredding correspondence, banking documents, invoices, and other confidential materials. The machine can even destroy credit cards and staples. (Note: it can't shred CD's or floppy disks.)
• The EX10-06's waste bin can hold up to 6 gallons of shreds. The bin has a window so you can see how full it's getting. You'll want to keep in mind that credit card and paper shreds will be mixed together which might make recycling a bit of a hassle. (Thus, you might want to shred these things separately.)
• This shredder can handle up to 12 sheets of paper at a time which is pretty typical for a cross-cut device. The machine can shred for up to 20 minutes before it needs to cool off for a bit. Final rating: 9. We really like the Swingline EX10-06 and feel that it's a terrific choice if you need a shredder for your office. This machine offers a decent shredding capacity and the ability to shred credit cards, it provides jam-free performance, and it even runs quietly so others won't be disturbed when you're shredding. The EX10-06 offers enough security for you to protect people's identities and comply with certain privacy laws, plus it's compact so it will fit just about anywhere. The only thing that would improve the machine is if it could shred CD's/DVD's. That one quibble aside, the EX10-06 is pretty impressive. Be sure to consider it if you're in the market for a new office shredder.
