1. Increase the speed of your connection to the Internet. More than almost any other professional, photographers have need of a fast connection to the Internet. On a daily basis gigabytes of information need to be uploaded to proofing galleries, blogs, facebook, and off site negative backup locations. That is on top of the normal use of email and web browsing. There are three primary ways to increase the speed in which you can utilize the Internet. First, you can get a faster connection. Second, you can purchase a faster modem and third you can purchase a faster computer. By increasing the speed at which you can use the Internet, your workflow and client response times will decrease.

2. Utilize your old systems. Do you have a number of old systems that contains good, but not the latest, software? Utilize those old computers by running a number of actions on them on pictures over the network.
