Are there any real chiropractic benefits of dairy? There are people who fall on both sides of this argument. Some, like the National Dairy Council insist that dairy products are essential for bone and joint health. Others, like the Raw Food Community on Stanford's Wellsphere website, insist that there is no benefit to ingesting this and that the calcium needed by a person's and joints can be gotten from other sources. Why do many people believe that there are definite chiropractic benefits to be had from consuming these products?

The biggest reason that chiropractic professionals believe that it is beneficial is the calcium it contains. These products are rich in it and this is what is needed for keeping a person's joints strong and healthy (it's good for the teeth and the heartbeat too!). Of course, that doesn't mean that it is only for its calcium that dairy products are considered some of the best products to keep a person's bones and joints healthy. Such products contain more than just calcium. They contain amino acids and lactose.

Leafy green vegetables are also good but, in addition to their lack of lactose, they do contain phylates and oxates which hinder the body's ability to absorb the calcium they contain.

The biggest reason that calcium is good for a your joints is that it prevents the body from losing bone mass. A lower bone density means that a person is more likely to suffer from broken bones and bad joints and, generally, will have a plethora of other health problems that might, on the surface, look like they have nothing to do with a person's bones.

Further, healthy bones keep the rest of the body healthy as well—bone marrow is where the body produces blood. If the bones aren't healthy then the body can see a lowering of blood productionBusiness Management Articles, which can lead to a host of other (severe) health problems down the road.

When someone visits a chiropractic professional he or she will probably be asked about his or her daily intake. Most chiropractors endorse this because it is the easiest source from which the body will obtain what it needs to keep a person's bones and joints (the body parts on which these professionals make their living) strong and healthy.
