What Items To Include In Your Trade Show Stand Emergency Kit

If you are taking a trade show stand to an event, it's important to be prepared for any mishaps that might come your way. Stash these items in your emergency kit so you're always prepared.

There are a lot of things to consider when you're preparing to exhibit with a trade show stand. From arranging for an installation service, to making sure your exhibit arrives at the venue, to making travel arrangements for your staff, it can seem like there's a thousand details to consider. However, one thing that's vital is an emergency kit. Mishaps can happen, even to the most prepared exhibitors and having an emergency kit can give you a backup plan just in case something happens. Use these tips to create your emergency kit and you can help ensure that your trade show goes off without a hitch.

Include Things For Your Staff In Your Trade Show Stand Kit

Sometimes your staff will have a mishap early in the morning before the event even starts! A jelly doughnut could explode all over someone's shirt or an employee's favorite pet could leave them covered in fur. Pack small personal care items like a lint roller, stain remover wipes, clear nail polish, hair spray, bobby pins, a hair brush and other personal care items so that you can help your employees look their best, no matter what life throws their way.

Pack Up Extra Chargers For Your Electronics

If you're bringing electronics, such as laptops, tablets and cell phones, make sure that you have a spare charger or two. It's not uncommon for event venues to have unreliable WiFi connections, which means that if you're relying on the Internet for a presentation, you need a backup. Make sure that you have a smart phone that can double as a WiFi hot spot and that you have a power cord to keep the presentation going. If you're relying on your employee's smart phone, realize that using it can use up a lot of data, so make sure that you reimburse your employee for any extra data charges.

What Tools Should Be Included In Your Kit

Your trade show stand will likely be installed and dismantled by a professional contractor or exhibit staff, but you should probably pack a few small tools just in case. Common tools like pliers, both a flat head and Phillips head screwdriver, a hammer or a mallet, some nails, a tape measure and an X-Acto knife. When you have a professional contractor install and dismantle your exhibit, you probably won't need them, but having these tools on hand will mean that you can make small changes or fixes to your trade show stand if it's necessary.

These things are just a few items that should be in your trade show stand emergency kit, but this isn't an all-inclusive list. Before you gather everything for your emergency kit, have a meeting with your employees so that they can make a list of other helpful items that you should include. You may not ever need them, but being prepared for any situation can help the entire event run more smoothlyHealth Fitness Articles, no matter what happens.
