Every employees will be interested in knowing what significance they create in the organization...... they need to do tail mapping....

Every employee in the organization must ask the very basic question to themselves as what role they are playing in the organization or corporate. They should do a tail mapping exercise as; such mapping would help them to be clearer about their role or contributions.

The tail mapping exercise is nothing but relating the role of an employee to the role of the tails of different animals in nature.  Such a comparative study is important to differentiate their presumptive role from true/actual role.

Every employee must validate the fact that whether they are playing the role of the tail of a kangaroo or the tail of a squirrel or the tail of a peacock or a dog or a sheep/goat.

Kangaroo’s tail plays an important role in its very survival.  Kangaroo may find it difficult to survive if the tail were weak or broken.  The strength of the animal and its balancing power are located in its tail.

In the case of a squirrel,What significance you are creating in the corporate, learn through tail mapping Articles the bushy tail help the animal to balance when it jump from tree to tree.  It also helps to give the animal a very gorgeous look in front of its predators.  A squirrel would become like a turtle in its speed if it looses its hairy tail.

Definitely the tail of a peacock adds beauty to the bird and certainly it also adds weight and makes them very heavy.  The employees who play the role of peacock’s tail are very costly but will be just adding some cosmetic value.  Many R&D’s in small to medium corporate may be playing the role of just ‘peacock’s tail only.

Certainly the tail of a goat or a sheep does nothing but just offers some cleaning job post defecation. Otherwise, the tail of goat/sheep seems to have no big role in goat’s life.

Obviously, the tail of a dog is the symbol of loyalty.  All the ‘so called’ loyal employees are nothing but the tail of a loyal dog.

Many more comparisons can be drawn from the animal world for the purpose of tail mapping but only a few relevant & suitable examples have been chosen / selected for the above discussion.

The contributions and the attitudes of almost all the employees will certainly fall under the above matrix/map.  They should try to occupy the role of kangaroo’s tail to make significance to their role and to create an impact in the organization.

If such a big role they could not find for themselves, at least they should create the role of a squirrel’s tail where their contributions will definitely add some speed and dynamism to the organization.

Tail mapping should be done to understand and relate the contributions each employee is making in the organization.  Only then they could help themselves to be more significant, vibrant and contributory.
