Why Brushless Servo Drives Are Much Preferred?

One is a fixed magnet and that the other magnet is rotating on opposite direction.

The use of the mechanical brushes is quite common nowadays. These mechanical brushes are generally used to direct the very flow of electric current towards the motor windings. All of these kinds of brushes remain in contact with rotating magnet and they carry the current to the coil which is placed around.

In brushless servo drives, the fundamental construction of the central iron core is just opposite to that of brushed servo drive. While the stable magnet is referred to as the rotor, the field magnets are considered as the stator, which remains set in its own position. Now each time when the current flows through the exterior motor circuit, it naturally gets reversed at specific points of the rotor magnet.

On the other hand, the brushed servo drives reverse the course of electric currents flowing into the motor. Therefore, the brushed servo motor may use the DC electric source to produce motion of torque.
