Typically when one thinks of a University, young people who have recently graduated from high school come to mind as the typical student body. When one goes to graduate school, it is usually at an institute that offers predominantly undergraduate degrees. Not so with Argosy University-Hawaii. The school is a branch of Argosy University that was founded in 2001 when several graduate schools merged. The University of Sarasota, the Medical Institute of Minnesota and the American School of Professional Psychology came together as one and formed the Argosy University educational system.

The Argosy University system focuses mainly on mental health services and careers but also has a large business and criminal justice focus. Students can also follow a career in education and teaching when taking courses at Argosy University.

Argosy College has the following to offer students-the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, the College of Education and the College of Business-from which to choose their path. The entire body of Argosy University includes campuses all across the country as well as online classes for those who are not in the immediate areas of Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Phoenix, Nashville, Orange County, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Sarasota, Tampa, Twin Cities, Schaumburg or Washington, D. C. Students enrolled at Argosy University-Hawaii may also take online courses to speed their progress.

While attending Argosy University in Hawaii, the following areas are open for degree completion-Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Criminal Justice, Business, Education and Liberal Arts. The school is all encompassing, providing not only courses that are specific immediately to these focus areas, but in interpersonal areas, as well. Internships are available at Argosy University-Hawaii, as well.

There was a new announcement recently that Argosy University-Hawaii will begin offering a new degree. Students wishing to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Education in Counselor Education and Supervision can now fulfill their requirements and obtain their degree at this campus.

There are actually three campuses that offer classes and services to students in the Argosy University-Hawaii system. There are satellite campuses in Hilo and Maui that work hand in hand with the main branch in Oahu. The services that are offered in both Hilo and on Maui are on a small scale and very limited. Students who attend Argosy University-Hawaii are recent college grads and professionals who are reaching to further their education and professional careers.
