Bank Jobs In 2011 Could Be Great Opportunities With Little Attention On Advertised Jobs And Exams

With the flurry of banks opening up in various places, the future of banking jobs is obviously prosperous. Students who are passing out fresh from colleges as well as those willing for career changes, the options of  working in banks in different capacities is vast. To make banking accessible to people, private and public sector banks are opening more branches across the country.

Some of these banks are even concentrating on the small towns and villages where there were no banks earlier. Opening up of more branches, requires the employment of people who can perform various functions. Starting from the teller jobs to the bank officer jobs, everything is required to carry out different types of work in the newly opening banks. Be it private banking organizations or the government owned banks, for them, the large towns and metro cities have become saturated due to which they are willing to tap customers from the remote areas. And to this effect, they are coming out successful also.

There is an encouraging response from the public to bank with these companies in their own towns and villages. Their encouragement is also related to the jobs that might be created in the process. To get more people into their spectrum, banks need a large number of recruits. Also, in the coming year of 2012 -2013, a number of employees would be retiring, throwing open more jobs for new recruits.

To fill up the upcoming vacancies, banks would conduct entrance exams for both the officer cadre and clerical level posts. Estimated 85,000 jobs in banks including both officers and clerks would be coming out in the coming 3 years, which has been put forward by the government of India. These are quite high figures and this is only in the public sector banks. If the private sector is also taken into account, the number would touch almost double the figure.

This is the potential of jobs in banking that would be created and this is something that the aspiring candidates have to cheer about. Apart from being happy, they should be in a constant watch about the time when these jobs would be advertised, as nothing specific has yet been spelled out. Various banks in the public sector would be conducting their exams in the year 2011 for recruiting people. Punjab National Bank, Corporation Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Syndicate Bank, and few more, have already brought out their application dates and would be conducting their exams in recently. Many more would also be taking out the advertisements.

With a keen and attentive eye on the newspapers and internet, people can find out the dates and put in their applications for the posts of clerks, officers, managers, etc. There is also a talk of combining the exams for different banks, although no statutory notification has come out.
