Western Oregon University , located at in Monmouth , Oregon , (WOU) is a public liberal arts college. Set up in 1856 by Oregon pioneers as Monmouth University it has student strength of over 5000. Incorporating both the College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, it is easily accessible from the urban center. Western Oregon University (WOU) offers bachelor's degrees including BA,Courses Available in Western Oregon University Articles BS, BM, and BFA apart from the Master's degrees in Education (MAT and MSEd), Rehabilitation Counseling (MS), Criminal Justice (MA), Music (MM), and History (MA). WOU is the only public university in the western U.S. to offer a unique offer to the undergraduate students who need to pay only the tuition rate of their year of joining for all the four years of study in this institution. Distant education and weekend college options are available.

Admission

Students should produce the Secondary school GPA at the time of the admission and TOEFL and admission test scores are taken into account as eligibility criteria.

This program is open to all U.S. citizens, permanent residents and eligible non-citizens pursuing their initial bachelor's degree.

Campus Western Oregon University ensures all round development of the students and encourages students to take active participation in social clubs and sports organizations in the college. The college has membership in NCAA Football Conference, Great Northwest Athletic Conference, NCAA Basketball Conference and Great Northwest Athletic Conference among others.
