Campus

College campus is located across Lamar Street at 801 Main Street in downtown Dallas near the Bank of America Plaza. Bill Priest campus is located south of downtown Dallas . Campus has over 25 student clubs and organizations including the writing club,El Centro College Offers Flexible Learning Opportunities Articles student government, student Nursing association, chess club, and paralegal student association.

Brief History

First college established in Dallas County Community College District started functioning in 1966. Since then for the last 44 years, the college is serving the community in Dallas and adjacent areas providing two years education program providing stepping stone for transfer to 4 year academies.

Programs Offered

A number of degree plans especially those specializing in medical and technological fields are offered by the college. In addition the college also offers degrees in accounting, fashion design, paralegal, and business administration. Academic programs offered are stepping stone for moving over to the four year institutions. Continuous education, dual credit system, associate degrees, and certificates are all available in the college. Several degrees including associate in arts, science, and applied science is offered.

One of the unique features of the college is the food and hospitality program that offers weekly meals to the public. El Centro College is a two year college and platform for transfer to four year institutions, El Centro College follows open admission policy. Admission can be made in campus or online. Students must complete an application for admission, attend orientation, take an assessment examination, and schedule an appointment with an advisor.
