Interested in a new career in Medical Sales ?No annotation specified There are more opportunities around these days for folk who have University degrees behind them, and are interested in a new career in Sales, or more particularly in Medical Sales. And some of these opportunities are very attractive. Traditionally, of course, graduates would tend to only look for jobs in areas that were specifically related to the content of their university degree course. But times have changed and nowadays it is regarded as much more acceptable, and even desirable, for people to be "flexible". And, for example, there is no reason at all why someone with, say, a Sports Science degree should not embark on a career Sales or Medical Sales. So how about it ... could you be interested in a career in Sales or Medical Sales? Some people tend to be put off by the "traditional" used-car salesman-type image; but, as we said above, things have changed. In Sales, and particularly Medical Sales, there are many worthwhile prestige jobs that have good career prospects. Sales careers in the Pharmaceutical Industry are just about as good as it gets. The financial rewards in Medical Sales are good compared to the possible alternatives, and there is a great deal of personal satisfaction to be derived by a conscientious employee. To be a bit more specific, even with in Medical Sales arena there is a great deal of variety to be had both in terms of what you hope to sell, and where you might hope to sell it. In the first place, you get to choose your location ... well, pretty much. If you like "city life" then you there are plenty of Medical Sales opportunities in the busy city centres where you could find large numbers of private practices within a relatively small area. Alternatively if you prefer to live, and work, "out in the sticks" then the rural areas have GP practices too. Whichever type of location you preferred, you would then find that there was a choice of what sort of work to aim at. On the one hand there are opportunities for folk (like you) to regularly visit large numbers of private practices and steadily build up relationships with the staff in those practices. You would be tasked with trying to retain their focus on your company's existing products, and sometimes also with introducing them to new products At the other end of the Medical Sales spectrum there are opportunities for selling more expensive "niche" items to a much smaller client base. But the work is much the same. Visiting the clients regularly, make sure they know everything that they should know about "your" products and try to encourage them to go on using them ... rather than considering switching to a competitor. A lot depend, of course, on your personality and on where you would like to be geographically based. But within the Medical Sales sphere there is variety enough for all. Such a career could take you all over the country, or eve abroad if you should so wish. So!
