If you’re looking for Smartphone but are on a budget, then one of your first choices should definitely be the HTC Wildfire. This relatively compact phone comes with all the bells and whistles of many of its peers such as a five mega pixel camera, full touchscreen functionality and Wi-Fi Internet connectivity.

Both EDGE & GPRS are utilised by the HTC Wildfire to provide it with its connections to the appropriate cellular networks.  Access to the Internet is provided primarily via an HSDPA connection in areas where 3G coverage is available.  When this is the case, download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second are available.  A faster and more reliable connection can be achieved however, thanks to full Wi-Fi connectivity.

 

On the back of the handset there is a powerful and versatile 5 mega pixel digital camera.  This operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels and also boasts Autofocus, LED flash for the increasingly popular geo-tagging function as standard.  As an additional method of image capture, users can also film video footage with the camera.

 

The versatility of the HTC Wildfire is largely thanks to a combination of the Android operating system (version 2.1 in this case, however this is upgradeable to later editions) and a 528 MHz processor.  Social networking integration, a comprehensive package of Google widgets, and social media applications for sites such as YouTube and Picasa mean users can stay connected friends and family and share their pictures and videos with ease.  The versatile internal media player supports several different formats of both music and video files, whilst there is also a selection of pre-installed games and a radio player.

 

As you can see, there is plenty to keep users entertained within the HTC Wildfire.  As if it wasn’t enough, there is also a number of different colour variants available meaning that users are sure to find an option to suit their taste.

 

Given the specifications of this phone, you may be very surprised at just how affordable it actually is.  For this reason, the HTC Wildfire has proven wildly successful and looks set to do so for quite some time.
