The Samsung Galaxy S is an advanced smartphone with a wealth of innovative features. Its hardware alone is impressive, sporting features such as a 5 megapixel digital camera, 4 inch AMOLED screen, and 1GHz processor.

The basic Samsung Galaxy S model comes with 8GB of internal storage; however there is also a 16GB version available. Both have the option to add your own expandable memory thanks to an integrated microSD card slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32GB. Therefore, users have the potential to store a large number of music tracks, videos, photos or documents within the Samsung Galaxy S.

 

GPRS and EDGE (both class 12) allow the handset to stay connected to the relevant cellular networks. Internet access relies primarily on 3G coverage, via an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. A faster connection can be achieved though, thanks to Wi-Fi compatibility, which utilises local wireless networks whenever users have access to the appropriate routers.

 

A handy digital camera is located on the back of the handset which offers 5 megapixel stills as well as 720p HD video. The still camera feature comes with built in features such as autofocus, touch focus and face & smile detection. When users have recorded a video in HD, they can use the DLNA feature to stream to a compatible television so it can be viewed in all its high definition glory.

 

There are plenty of entertainment as well as productivity features included as standard. These include a versatile media player and a document viewer which is compatible with MS Office documents.
