Recently,Selecting and Picking out a Touchscreen Phone Articles the focus for most smartphones has been on those with touch screen phones. The majority of casual cell phone users now use touchscreen smartphones like the iPhone, Blackberry Storm, the Droid, and a handful of others. In fact, there have been over 20 different touchscreen-enabled phones released in the last couple years. Not all of them are as good as the competition, however, so there are a few tips to follow when someone wants to buy a cell phone with a touchscreen.

First of all, the most important factor when looking for a touchscreen phone is how responsive the phone is to touch. Any phone that has a touch screen that isn't responsive should be disregarded completely, including phones that respond slowly, seem to glitch often when touch commands are used, or has a difficult learning curve to adjust to. Basically, touch screens should only make a phone better rather than hinder its capabilities, as some have done. Also, touch screens should make a phone easier to use - instead of more difficult. Some touch screens cause phones to be extremely difficult to get used to using. These types of phones should be avoided by consumers.

Of the many touchscreen phones available, only a handful of them have been widely popular. This is because most companies do not take the time to put out a fine-tuned phone, so they are usually full of problems. Companies like Apple, Google, and Blackberry, however, have been fairly successful in the touchscreen cell phone market with phones that are relatively strong in all areas.
