With new Smartphones being released seemingly every week,The Nokia N8 Provides A Powerful Digital Camera Articles it can be difficult to choose the right smartphone for you.  Whether you are looking for an entertainment device, an effective web browser or a powerful camera phone, the Nokia N8 ticks all the boxes.

The Nokia N8 is a relatively compact handset, measuring 113.5x 59.1x 12.9mm. It is also lightweight, making it a comfortable phone to hold and use when out and about. The superb 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen is a responsive way of navigating the Symbian 3 OS user interface, and provides great display quality thanks to the ability to display up to 16M colours within a pixel configuration of 360x 640. A built in accelerometer automatically rotates the on screen imagery based upon the orientation of the phone, meaning content can be viewed in both portrait and landscape.

A generous 16 GB of internal storage space is provided as standard within the Nokia N8. This allows users to store large number of files such as music and video or documents. Although it should prove ample to the needs of most users, the standard storage can be expanded thanks to an integrated micro SD card slot. This can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB, meaning users potentially have up to 48 GB of storage space at their disposal.

A fast internet connection is achieved in areas with 3G coverage thanks to an HSDPA connection. Although adequate, a faster connection can be gained through integrated Wi-Fi connectivity in areas offering local wireless networks. Cellular networks rely on GPRS and EDGE (both class 33 versions) whilst Bluetooth, micro USB and GPS with A-GPS support round off the package of connectivity features.

Without doubt, one of the main draws of the Nokia N8 is the 12 megapixel digital camera. Packing Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, face recognition and a dual-LED flash, it is powerful yet easy to use, a feature common amongst Nokia handsets. The pixel resolution of the camera means that the resulting photos are high quality, even when zoomed in. The camera also boasts the ability to shoot HD video footage, in 720p quality. In order to view this footage to its full potential, the handset can be directly hooked up to an HD TV via the TV out socket by using a HDMI cable.

With powerful hardware and versatile software at its disposal, the Nokia N8 should be at the top of everyone’s smartphone wishlist.
