Replacing external components on a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop computer can be intimidating if you don’t know much about computers. 1.You should turn off the Vostro 1500 and remove the power cable, and disconnect the battery from its port on the bottom of the computer. Then just use the tip of your screwdriver to pop the screw covers off each of the six screws on the bezel (frame) surrounding the Dell Vostor 1500 LCD Screen. There are four screws on top and four on the bottom.

2. Use your screwdriver to remove all of the screws. Pry the bezel off the screen by the sides and corners, and set the bezel aside. Remove the four screws from each of the brackets on either side of the LCD screen. Locate the webcam just above the LCD screen.

3. Remove the two screws on either side of the webcam. Tilt the screen forward and unplug the screen cable from the back. Lift the screen out of the brackets and set it aside.Fit a new screen in its place. Plug the ribbon cable into the port in the back of it. Reassemble the computer in the reverse order you took it apart.
