The Jury is Out: 3 Minute Sex is Ok

Thank Goodness! Hallelujah! An extensive survey which included respondents from several leading dating sites concluded that three minute sex is okay and "normal" although the best sex should ultimately last between seven and thirteen minutes according to U.S. experts.

This same study was published in the international diaries of Sexual Medicine, and is the first publication of its kind to detail expert opinions regarding the ideal length of time to have intercourse. According to random men and women from which the data was compiled, the most desirable and realistic amount of time for sex was between seven and thirteen minutes and was viewed as "sufficient", but anything less than this amount was "too short" and on the far side of thirteen minutes was "too long".

Studies in the U.S. reveal that Americans expect sexual intercourse to last around fifteen minutes, but in reality, self-assessments indicate that less than half this time is more realistic.

It seems that it's human nature to exaggerate many aspects of our sexuality.
