A journalist with a 15 hour shift in a newspaper office Megha wrote articles on “The Indian Education System”. She had her own column,How to Find Best and Top Schools in Visakhapatnam Articles because she was a senior editor and enjoyed her work. Every week her job involved covering the schools in an Indian State. Most of her articles drew a lot of attention from her readers and she had no idea of the number of fans she had across india. Most of her fans were parents that either liked or openly criticized her work in the editorial.

Her job involved an interview with the Principal, the staff and the students in the pretext of making a personal visit to the schools. All her articles were wholesome and well researched because of the balanced approached in which she covered the profile of the school. This time she was assigned to write on ‘The educational system in Vishakapatnam’ and her tickets were booked for the next day. She was excited. On her arrival in Vishakapatnam, she checked into a hotel and begun with her visits to schools.

Wonderkids was a play school that was her first stop because it was closest to her hotel. She then took an auto to visit the ones further away. Some of the most famous Visakhapatnam schools that she visited were: Vasistha Vidya Bhavan, Sri Sivananda Public School, Belmont High School, S.S.R. Public School, Sita Public School, SPS Public School, PEN School and Sri Sivananda Public School. She had had her share of visiting the schools; she sat by her window in the evening and wrote out her article by putting together all that she had jotted down as notes.

She noticed that all the schools in the city of Visakhapatnam offered education from Kindergarten to Class X. Most of these Schools were either affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination or the Central Board of Secondary Education Board or the State Board or held exams on a large scale. Very few schools affiliated to the CBSE and the ICSE Boards offer classes in the Higher Secondary Level. Almost all the schools of Visakhapatnam emphasized on the need of extra-curricular activities along with the academic curriculum. The schools encouraged the students to participate in the various intra-school and inter-school competitions for their overall development.
