One way to avoid the hassles is to go through ads for retailers to see what the sales are and shop each week according to the sales. This will save money and parents and students can stock up on high use items, such as pencils, paper, erasers and notebooks. Do the shopping later at night or earlier in the morning when the stores are not as busy and there are less people out and about.

Big box retailers often sell the same styles and designs as the name brand stores, but at heavily discounted prices. Check these locations first before paying for name brand clothing and supplies. The price difference can be enormous and can result in a huge cost saving. The non name brand clothing is many times made just as well, if not better than the name brand clothing. This is true of school supply items, such as crayons, glue, pens, pencils and paper. Buying the store brand can save a lot of money and also mean there will be more in stock compared to their name brand counter parts.

Look to discount stores, such as dollar stores and similar retailers. They sell name brand and store brand items for extremely low prices and usually have huge amounts in stock. They also are not as busy many times compared to name brand retailers and stores. This retailers often sell clothing and shoes too, so it is the perfect place to find those items at a much lower cost.
