The EMBA is a rigorous degree plan that requires dedication and two years of time outside of your full time job. In order to fully excel and gain all of the EMBA perks, students should take steps to assure they stay on track in a challenging, yet rewarding, environment.

  • Dedicate time every week where you have time to yourself and with your loved ones.
  • Communicate, communicate, and communicate. Be transparent and honest with your professors, your boss, and your peers in class and work.
  • Similar to communication, this is the time to make connections and relationships with your professors and classmates.
  • Flexibility is key to staying on track. What worked for you the week before may not work the next. Be open to change.
  • There are often on campus events for all students, graduate students, and just EMBA students. It is encouraged that you attend with friends and family for a genuine balance.
  • If you take advantage of your time back at school, you may find that your student life begins to blend with your professional and social life. Being in this situation builds a social life with like-minded career individuals and offers the ultimate fusion of rewarding relationships.
  • Enjoy yourself and the experience.
