Undoubtedly,5 reasons why to love HBO MAX Articles in recent years we as viewers have noticed the gradual success of one of the most prestigious channels today. I am talking about HBO and its wonderful content of series, movies, documentaries, concerts, shows and sports events.

HBO and its constituents have earned a special place in viewers’ hearts because this channel has chosen TV productions that leave their mark on society and are also known for its innovative and emotional plot lines.

As a Hispanic viewer of HBO MAX, I have to confess that this channel has captivated me and made me stay in during the weekends to watch movies, or as we say, VER PELICULAS, watch series, concerts, documentaries and sports.

These days TV shows should deliver higher quality content and that is exactly what HBO is offering us. Here I will show you 5 HBO series and you can decide which ones to follow!

5. Game of Thrones: Game of Thrones is a TV series set in the medieval age, where the extreme climatic conditions determined the dynamics of society and people’s behavior. This TV series is tells of a power struggle between several families competing for the throne of the kingdom, but only one can win. To get the precious throne they will have to face vicious schemes, romances, betrayals, battles and tons of drama. In this Game of Thrones, kings, queens, knights, renegades, liars, nobleman and good men will all play for a chance to win the coveted kingdom.

4. Big Love: Bill Henrickson, along with his three wives and his three families, share three interconnected houses located in a very traditional neighborhood in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. This huge family lives a lifestyle that few of us are used to seeing or even understanding, that is, until the Henricksons opened the doors to their house. They show us a complex world with complicated characters, but above all, a very compassionate story.

3. Profugos: Written in Chile, this story is about a failed drug operation that causes a frenzied pursuit of four men by the mafia and federal authorities, forcing them to start a desperate escape plan through Chilean territory.

The story begins when Vincente Ferragut (Nestor Cantillana) Tegui Gonzalez (Benjamín Vicuña), Oscar Salamanca (Francisco Reyes) and Mario Moreno (Luis Gnecco) are hired to transport a shipment of liquid cocaine from the Bolivian border to the Chilean port of Valparaiso. When they are delivering the cocaine to the European buyers in the harbor, a gun shot from a roof causes a violent and unexpected ambush.

2. True Blood: Undoubtedly one of the most viewed and successful series of the year is the HBO series True Blood. The series tells a story full of drama, fantasy, action and passion, where vampires and humans coexist in the same world. The show is revolutionizing the world of vampires and their hidden society. They present a new version of life, with vampires and humans living in the same world, sharing customs and experiences and falling in love with other species like fairies, witches and werewolves.

1. Mad Men: I'm not exaggerating when I say that I think Mad Men is one of the best television series in the U.S. in the last 20 or 30 years. I don’t usually watch too many series because frankly, I rarely get hooked on the plot. But Mad Men, especially, is a well-written and well contextualized series set in the decade of the 60’s, where many important events marked the history of this country, like the hippie movement and the civil rights movement. These events defined the culture of an era and that's exactly what Mad Men tells us from the perspective of an advertising agency and all its members
