NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Malvisi in Metamorphosis . The exhibition opens November 11, 2017 and runs through December 2, 2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, November 16 from 6-8 pm
The powerful, spirited paintings of Malvisi tantalize viewers with a wealth of texture, vividly rich pigments, and forceful brushstrokes. A highly conceptual artist, Malvisi views his work as an expression of his inner ego and personal vision, and he pours the vitality of his considerable personality into every piece. Malvisi's abstract style furnishes him with a framework for unlimited creativity, allowing him to explore all the facets of art and what it is, rather than what it appears to be. His goal is to convey his life experiences and take people with him on his journey. Malvisi’s strong use of line and painterly forms possess a hint of the organic, and his compositions are almost musical in their balance of shape, harmony of color, and rhythmic movement. The result is a unique aesthetic that’s visually striking and full of barely contained, boundless energy.
Malvisi was born in Italy and studied art in Venice. You can find his paintings displayed as far and wide as Brazil, Turkey, Australia, Slovenia, and many countries in Europe.

About the Exhibition
Metamorphosis
Featuring eighteen artists, Metamorphosis is an exhibition of contrast and change. The works on view present diverse and opposing perspectives on time, place, and the human condition, calling into question the arbitrary nature of boundaries. Through dynamic juxtapositions, the exhibition conjures feelings of harmony and mutual transformation despite the presence of difference.
