Everybody enjoys bingo games

How the image of bingo has been changed from last few years and how it has covered the players from all the age to like it to play.

The image of bingo has changed a lot during the last years, and from being considered a game played only by old people has become one of the coolest games of the moment. In fact, even though there are a few stereotypes surrounding the bingo, those are slowly disappearing.

The two biggest stereotypes that followed bingo games during many years are that bingo is a church game and that it is a game for old people, being the last the one that has more believers.

But, where those myths come from? Well, the one that associates bingo and church it started many years ago, when one of the modern bingo creators, Edwin Lowe was asked to create bingo cards to use as a church fundraisers. And that is why a lot of bingo cards with that aim appeared and many people started to associate both. However, with the time this stereotype has become less powerful and in fact nowadays almost no one relate bingo with churches.

The second myth, which relates bingo and old people, may have been created in the 60’s and 70’s when bingo halls were used as a way to bring people together, and were mostly frequented by the older generations.

In fact, during the 90’s bingo was considered so unpopular by young people that almost none of them ever visited a bingo hall. However, as the time pass and the first online bingo sites started to appeared the situation changed considerably, and young people slowly started to play.

The possibility of being able to play from their own homes and at any time of the day made of this platform an ideal one to enjoy the game. Moreover, the online bingo sites wanted to keep the sense of community of the first bingo halls, and that is why they included the chat and online community option which has served to attract even more young players.

A recent study realized recently by a leading software provider shows how the reality of bingo has really changed over the years, as 58% of bingo players are under 45 years old, and from themHealth Fitness Articles, the 29% are between 18 and 34 years old. That study makes clear that online bingo has served to bring closer the games to the younger generations and those have started to really enjoy this fun game.
