History of rock: Formation of an epic genre

Turn on the volume. It is the time for some rock music. It was in the 1960’s when this underground form of music genre entered into the mainstream music. The formation is said to be in the years between 1940 – 50.

More importantly the rock music scene has always ever since then seen a continuous growth. It is in the audience where this form of music is not just the genre but also a place where people get the sense of belonging. It is that form of music that not only gets everyone crazy but also expresses his or her true thoughts through music.

History of rock is as exciting as the genre itself. The number of genres combined together has developed the music of this form. The rock music has always seen a market that has never turned down the expectation of the rock bands. The term rock band in usual sense includes vocals, guitars, bass, drums and other additional instruments. It is that forms of genre in which the entire band works as a team and the collective effort by various group of musicians not only composes the songs but write their own songs.

Some say that it was in 1954 when Elvis Presley that was termed as the first rock music record. However, for many people the awareness of this form of music came by the formation of various bands like Beatles, ABBA. It was then when the music scene was seeing a very steady growth. The new forms of the rock music included shock rock, punk rock, psychedelic rock, blues rock, jazz rock and even the funk rock. The legend in the world of guitar players Jimi Hendrix is probably the world’s favorite guitar player.

As one moves on the genres of rock music went on different routes. Some became soothing and soft, peppy and eye catchy for teenagers while others became heavier and faster in terms of guitar riffing. The pop genre is formed out of rock music and at the same time heavy metal is also a form of rock music. With the passage of the old era as it is said came the bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Deep Purple, MetallicaFind Article, Motorhead and Deep Purple. These legends took the music to a whole new level and it is to be noted that now the rock music is spread all across the world.
