Celebrities are out all over the place in London, being spotted by the paparazzi stumbling out of West End Nightclubs on a regular basis. So where are the London celebrities partying in night long? The venues are hard to get in and extremely expensive but its only way to go if you want to party with your London celebs.
London is awash for celebrities from the A List right down to the Z list. Whether you want to party with Jay Z and Prince Harry or the WAG’s, there are plenty of opportunities to rub shoulders with the elite of London.
If you are on the hunt for footballers then a good bet is JuJu in Chelsea. This is a boutique members club on the Kings Road and due to its proximity to Chelsea Football Club and its position in the heart of the Kings Road it is normally frequented by footballers from the English Premier league. Frank Lampard with its girlfriend Christine Bleakley have been spotted stumbling out of JuJu many times as well as the Chelsea footballers including John Terry, Ashley Cole and Solomon Kalou. Being a celebrity club in London for footballers, expect the WAG hunters to be out in force here.
Moving over to Mayfair there are a plethora of celebrity clubs. A favourite haunt for many A-List celebrities is Whisky Mist. This club that is close to the Park Lane Hilton is a swish whisky loving bar and club with commercial pop and plenty of glitz. This club often sees all types of celebrities coming through the doors, from rock stars like Kings of Leon to movie stars like Matt Damon and of course Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan.
For something alternative you could try Proud in Camden which is an old horse stables converted into a hip indie dance bar and club that is very popular with the celebrities of London. I was dancing in one of the stables when I noticed that I was strutting my stuff just inches away from Amy Winehouse who had decided to join the crowd and have a dance in her local club! You often see Peter Doherty here and plenty of indie bands who come for the cutting edge music and relaxed atmosphere.
A very common London nightclub for celebrity hunting is Chinawhite. This venue has been synonymous with celebrities over the years in London and after a few years when it shut its doors, it’s back with a bang. This is the place for all sorts of B, C and Z list celebrities. Expect ex Big Brother contestants mixed with X-Factor failures, the odd footballers and the odd glamour model. Jordan was a regular at Chinawhite’s over the years. If you are after something a little classier then The Groucho Club is a famous celebrity club in London that is always teeming with paparazzi outside. We are talking about serious A-List film stars and global music stars including Rihanna, Madonna and Chris Martin from Coldplay.
Finally another good bar in London for celebrity spotting is Nobu in Mayfair. This bar and restaurant is a classy and high end Japanese hang out which delicious food that keeps the celebrities coming back time after time. You often see celebrities coming here for their birthday parties and so it’s a good bet to catch someone famous.
