Making a Living Out of Playing Online Poker Fulltime

Online poker is a fun and exciting activity! There are some people that are skillful enough to make significant profit out of playing online poker. However, many people are oblivious to the fact that it is possible to make a living out of playing online poker fulltime. The good players regularly play enough to profit and live comfortably out of it. It is not impossible to totally live off your poker earnings; anybody can do it if he is skilled enough.

The best way to make a living out of playing poker is to play against people who are less skillful than you. This is possible by playing in low stakes games. The really bad players sit down at a table and go on an all-in frenzy in the first few hands. Just be patient and profit from these bad players. Low stakes games are good because it’s quite easy to gradually increase your profit over time.

High stakes games offer a higher payout, but the risk of losing a larger amount of money is much higher. It is recommended that you play more of low stakes games and occasionally enter high stakes games. If this is done, you will be able to cover losses through your low stakes winnings and still end up ahead.

Playing in poker tournaments is another great way to make a living off playing online poker. Tournaments with hundreds of participants can have a low buy-in amount, or even play with no buy-ins required. If you have the skills to beat hundreds of poker players, the payout can be enormous. What you have to remember when playing in tournaments is to maintain discipline. There are players that may push the pot around early and get out. As the blinds increase, play conservatively, but be aggressive if you have a fighting chance. It may also be smart to slow-play some hands. There are players that like to play conservatively until they are in the money bracket (some tourneys pay a certain number of top finishers depending on the rules), which can be a very good technique to profit. Patience is most certainly a virtue in poker. To make money, you must be calm, collected and in control at all times.

Don’t go on and tilt. This may be easier said than done, but experienced poker players know when they are on tilt. If you are betting horribly and have been playing hands that have low chances of winning, you are probably on tilt. Knowing when to stop is key to making a living out of playing online poker. You keep in mind that you can gain huge profits in poker, but the losses can even be greater.

Making a living out of playing poker requires constant playing of the game. Some people play more than 12 hours a day. If that’s too much for you, it might not be a good idea to make this as your profession.

Online poker can be a great way to casually make money. However, if you want to make a living out of playing online poker, you need to be serious about it. Playing low stakes games and playing against bad players are great ways to make slow profit. High stakes games should be limited. But if you are skillful enough, they are great money-makers. And finally, entering poker tournaments and playing many hours a day can help you make a living out of online poker. Not everyone can be Moneymaker (the accountant who won the World Series of Poker tournament and has poker as a profession). But if you play enoughFree Reprint Articles, you just might be one.
