The Royal Flush

This type of poker hand is composed of 5 cards. All have the same suit (identical shapes) and in sequence with an ace high card. An example is 10, J, Q, K of hearts with an ace of hearts. This is the highest poker hand.

The Straight Flush

This a poker hand that is 5 cards, in sequence and are in the same suit or identical shapes. An example is 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 all of them with hearts is called a straight flush.

Four of a Kind

This is more popularly called quads. It has to be 4 cards with the same rank. So if you get four kings, that is called a four of a kind.

Full House

The slang for a full house is full boat. It is a 5 card combination with three of the cards having the same rank, while the other two cards must be of the same rank too. Example: Three Jacks and a pair of 5s.

Flush

Straight

Three of a Kind

A 3-card combination with the cards having identical rank.

Two Pairs

A 5-card combination. The hand must have two pairs of cards with the same rank and one card that differs from the pair.

One Pair

Two cards of the same rank while the three cards can be random.
