Roulette strategy a common sense approach

What if I told you there was a roulette system that mathematically allowed you to win every time? I would be lying! There is no such system that exists, roulette is based on random luck and pure chance, the wheel has no memory and the odds stay the same though-out. If you want to win at roulette then learn a system that is based on common sense and luck.

Avoid the Five Numbers Bet

When learning a roulette strategy the name of the game is to reduce the casinos house edge, one way to do this is to avoid betting on five numbers. If you bet on five numbers it actually increases the house edge from 5.26% to 7.89%, so heed this advice and avoid. 

Avoid American Roulette

There are two variants of roulette: American and European. The major difference is that American roulette has two zeros (0, 00) whereas European only has one (0). This means American roulette has a house edge of 5.26%, whereas European only has a house edge of 2.7%. In real terms this means for every £100 bet on an American roulette table the casino earns £5.26 profit, whereas for every £100 bet on a European roulette table the casino earns £2.70 profit. Minimise the house edge and play European roulette.

Have Strong Money Management

Strong money management involves making decisions on how much to bet. You should set a budget and bet limit. Do not chase your losses.

En Prison and La Partage

When playing roulette there are some special rules that could lower the house edge of casinos - these are the En Prison and the La Partage. When these two rules are in place, the American edge goes down to 2.63% and the European to 1.35%.

Without doubt roulette is a game of luck, but by following the above tips you can lower the casinos advantage. By lowering the casinos advantage you have a much better chance of winning. When playing it is always best to establish limits, a limit as to how much you are going to win and call it a day (if you are too greedy you will probably end up losing) and a limit to how much you are going to lose. Equally important is control over your bets, one way of achieving this is by keeping a certain percentage of your winnings to one side, this way, even if you hit a losing streak and lose your set bankroll, you still have enough set aside to merit a profit.
