In case of a good hobby grade model of RC cars, you can always add upgrades as well as chrome exhausts, wheels and so much more but only at a later date. 

The batteries of the RC cars come in a few options. The 1800amh is a good load. You will need a spare too so that you can keep going. A good option is to use rechargeable batteries on the controller. Using throw away batteries can be very expensive.

Nitro indicates fuel burning power. Thus there is a little more work involved in nitro fuel RC cars. Nitro is messy and highly flammable. In case of new nitro RC cars, the engine has to be broken in slowly. This would involve running the car slowly on a level ground for 5 -7 short runs. This has to be done without using full throttle at any time or else, it may damage the engine and limit the performance of these RC cars.

Always use rechargeable batteries with RC cars. This way you will always have fresh batteries. This is very important because you will lose control if the RC cars go under 8.5 V.  If you are going to a race or going to park for a day, it is possible that the batteries will go dead just as you are having fun.

The electric RC cars do not like water. You may go though a puddle and fry the electric pack of your RC cars. In order to prevent this, use a balloon over the electric box and tape all the wires and open ends. Use silicone to seal the gaps.

Before running your RC cars, always check that all screws are tight. In case they are loose, they may get lost while you are running the car. Then the chance of finding these screws is slim. You RC cars will be shelved until you are able to order and get the new parts.

The RC cars have become very popular among all the different ages groups. This is because the RC world is a hobby that can consume your life completely. In fact, the cross RC cars are great for children. Also, operating RC Cars is not really a physical activity in itself. But the fact remains that the amateur RC enthusiasts will always have a crash or two in the beginning and then they will have to retrieve the RC cars. But one thing to be cleared is that RC cars are not only for very small children. Besides, there are competitive racing circuits, national championships as well as several other types of classes in both the amateur and professional RC cars racing realm.
