Will Ferrell BiographyHe was born in Newport Beach, California on July 16th, 1967. He attended University High School in Irvine, California where played kicker on the varsity football team. He currently holds the record for most field goals made. Also at school he ran the daily announcements over the intercom system. This opportunity sparked his interest in broadcasting. He attended the University of Southern California where majored in Sports Information and studied sports broadcasting. Soon after his graduation he joined comedy group called the Groundlings. While being apart of the Groundlings, he developed both his comedic and improvisational skills. In 1995 he met Viveca Paulin in an acting class and would marry her five years later. Also in 1995 he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. He stayed with Saturday Night Live for seven years, creating a name for himself and creating several interesting and wacky characters. During his time at Saturday Night Live, he made several movies with SNL cast members. He made A Night at The Roxbury, Superstar, Drowning Mona, The Ladies Man and more. After departing from SNL, Ferrell would go on to star in several box office hits. During 2005 starred in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Old School, Bewitched, Kicking and Screaming, The Producers In 2006 he played Ricky Bobby in Nascar parody Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and played in his first semi-drama Stranger Than Fiction.
