Looking at decorations and lights is something you can do, from November until January, because every year more and more folks put their displays up earlier and leave them up longer. You can go out a few times each week, and go to another neighborhood or area to look at different displays, or go back to some places that put on great ones each year.
My wife used to always make me go riding around with her to look at lights, and at first I thought, it was foolish, being a guy and all, but once I went with her, I admit it was enjoyable, and if you have children it makes it well worth the time and gasoline. Getting out and driving around looking at Christmas lights and displays is not only fun for the entire family or just one person, it's a great way to help shake the winter blues.
