A mother's love is unconditional.

My mother at one time told me that when she gave birth to me it was the most blessed, most unforgettable day of her whole life. I found it insane knowing the fact that almost every minute we would call her to set up things for us, even as easy as getting an incremental blanket because were too lazy to obtain it ourselves. My mum is queasy everytime because of multi-tasking between her job and tending to us that at some point in time I foreboded I would never be a mother, ever. Just imagine, having a shitty job with the most horrible pay, has barely the moment to relax and still attends to us children. Who in their normal mind would desire to pass through all of that? 
Lets simply make a step back and have an answer to the question, What is a proper mother consist of?
What does it need to turn into a mum? Are mothers really that fantastic for them to have their own yearly celebration? These are the enquiries that I didn't wish to be confronted with.
The day I finally underwent motherhood is the day I had the answers to my queries. Below are the things I have come to figure out while going through maternity.
A sure way to make you kids stop crying is to tell them "Its okay, Mom's here"; Mothers have the only pretty face in existence; Hearing the phrase "Mother Knows Best" either means "I told you so" or you have to get some sort of approval from your mom about a particular matter.
Most of all,  being a mom means being the sole light in the household when there is dark, a source of happiness when there is sadness, where hope comes from when there is hopelessness, the ultimate source of love. Being a mother comes with a plethora of emotions all rolled into one that defies reason.
Being a mother means giving life to your kids, teach them things, let them know right from wrong, giving them freedom to live their lives but not living it for your children, not learning it for them, not deciding it for them but in the end be accountable for them. 
Supporting your children in every path they take even though its the least path you would like them to take. Being is a mother is to always be present despite the pain. Once can never cease to be a mother.
So what does it take to become a mother?  It takes unbelievable and immeasurable courage. And why are mothers so special  because they can take the place of all other people but then expect nothing in return. Being remembered on mother's day once a year is not enough for bringing us to their world and at the same time giving up their world for us.
I already know this because of a very wonderful person in my life, my mother. As the mother of my kids now, the most fantastic part of my life is to know that I am important to my kids, and I will love them unconditionally, forever.
