Many men would never admit it, but most of them do like to pamper themselves from time to time.  It may not be an everyday thing, but if you take the time to think closely about what he'd like, chances are he'll be grateful for the thought.
Here are some things to keep in mind when selecting which spa gift set you're going to give to the man in your life.
What's The Occasion?
Is it his birthday, your anniversary or Christmas?  Do you want to thank him for doing something nice (maybe he helped your girlfriend move into her new apartment)?
Or have you noticed that he's been working extra hard and is coming home a little more stressed out than usual and just want to give him a nice, relaxing treat?
The reason that you're treating him to a gift will go a long way to determining if you should get him a spa gift or something else.
For example, if it's his birthday, you may want to consider getting him something that is already on his wish list to acknowledge and celebrate his special day.  That way you're acknowledging him and what he values and cherishes.
If it's a softer holiday, perhaps Valentine's Day or your anniversary, treating him to a spa gift could wind up with an invitation for you to join him in the bath.  Talk about a great way to celebrate the occasion!
What Scents Does He Like and Dislike?
Many spa gift sets come with scented bath oils and lotions that can leave a lingering odor for several days, particularly in the hair.
If he's got a big basketball game with his friends, he may not want to go in there smelling like roses for fear of them poking fun at him for smelling so pretty.
It's also important to consider what scents he may or may not like personally.  I know a lot of people who don't like the smell of vanilla, while others absolutely love it.
Quite often, a more subtle scent will be more appropriate for most men, so consider green apple, sandalwood or cranberry-maple based on what you already know about your man's particular tastes.
How is His Self Esteem?
The final thing you'll want to consider is his self esteem.  Is he confident in his own body and with his masculinity?  If so, he'll be more open to trying new things that many men might find emasculating.
At the same time, many "metro sexual" men spend just as much time in the bathroom getting ready as their female counterparts (sometimes longer!) and these men in particular are great candidates to receive a thoughtful spa gift that allows them to pamper themselves.
Spa gifts are not for every man.  But if you use these questions as a guideline, you may just find that your man is a perfect candidate to receive a thoughtful, pampering gift from the woman he loves.
