A real poker enthusiast should have a poker game room that is impressive and gives players the best possible experience. By creating a poker room you will have the slight advantage of home field comfort so you will be able to focus on your players and not your impressive surroundings.

I would recommend keeping your poker room simple. The more distractions you have the less people will focus on the game in hand. Lighting should be dimmed and décor should be classy but not over done. Some choose to put up LCDs,The Perfect Poker Room Articles dart boards, and other bar like entertainment but depending on your company this may hurt the quality of the game. Of course, if you are planning on having friends over to watch a sporting event while playing cards you will be able to enjoy both at once should you decide to put TVs in the room.

One thing the poker room will need is a quality poker table. Poker tables generally come in green and red but it is possible to get almost any color of felt. Although green is more relaxing on the eyes, the attracting color of red is sure to reduce the distractions you and your guests become aware of. Tables are rather inexpensive when purchased online so I would recommend not shopping for the cheapest one and instead shooting for quality. The table will probably get plenty of use and hopefully pay itself off once you clean up on your first poker tournament.

Quality clay poker chips and cards also help influence enjoyable game play. Heavier clay poker chips make you feel like your right there in the casino. Internet dealers tend to carry a very wide variety of chips so you will have a very nice variety with weight, styles, and colors.

Someone really looking to go all out should include a refreshments area. The shorter periods of time you or your guests exit the gaming area the more the game holds its purity. Many times poker games can go for extended periods of time and bathroom breaks provide enough distraction. Drinks and munchies should keep your guests at a comfort level so that everyone's attention is focused on the game.

Whether you plan on going all out or just building a simple room you will surely enjoy designing and completing your poker room. Surprisingly if you're shopping online you can get all the necessities for no more than a couple hundred dollars. Good luck!
