Wired detectors

PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detector is one of the main components in any Home security alarm systems or commercial security alarm systems.

These detectors comprise of movement detector IC, PIR sensing element, and light dependent resistor (LDR). There are different types of wired detectors used in different types of security and access control systems.  Wired detectors are considered more reliable than wireless detectors.  Some of them are:

1.      Digital PIR detector (Motion Detector):

These wired detectors are used in general-purpose applications and they are based on state-of-the-art 3D cylindrical optics and motion recognition. They have a range of detection motion within 50ft in 90 ° angle. The detector offers Enhanced false alarm immunity by combining Fresnel lens and cylindrical optics technology

2.      Pet tolerant PIR detector:

If you have a pet at home then you should go for Pet-tolerant Digital PIR Detector. The detector is capable of securing your home without obstructing your pet’s movement in the house.  The pet tolerant feature in this detector is restricted to animals weighing up to 38 kg.

3.      Smoke detectors:

Fire safety is a critical aspect of home security. Modern home security systems also incorporate smoke detectors to protect your home in an event of accidental fire. You are required to install smoke detectors in every room or a least one on every floor. The wired smoke detector can be either ceiling mounted or wall mounted. You can provide power to the smoke detector from any unswitched source in the room. The operating range of such smoke detectors is usually between 32°F to 122°F and the heat sensor has 135°F fixed temperature electronic thermal resistor.

4.      Glass break detector:

These detectors are useful in providing early indication of assault on glass surface. There are two types of glass detectors, on- glass and off-glass. They sound an alarm when they detect frequency of breaking glass (sound emitted during glass breakage). They are attached on surface of a window.

Thus, you can improve security of   your home by adding different wired detectors to you home security systems.  The wired detectors give you freedom from hassles of changing batteries periodically.
