The last recourse is bankruptcy, the oldest form of debt solution which is almost always the last option to take.  All of your debts may be written off depending on the extent of your debt but you will suffer a lot of intrusion into your personal finances. 


You will only be allowed to use certain types of basic bank accounts and if you have a home it may have to be sold to pay back your creditors.  However, this solution has the most serious impact on your future credit score.  It is a good solution for people with extreme debt problems.
